Gluten-free Viennese Community Valentines Café - Hosted by Babsi's Viennese Treats [Telegraph Room]

We welcome you to a cozy Valentines café/brunch at East Bay Community Space, Telegraph Room (new space)!

• Enjoy a cozy café setting with healthy gluten-free Viennese organic, low- or no-sugar treats and some savory items, as well! Raw and vegan options are also available. Please let us know if you have any allergies. We will have about 6 – 8 varieties available, and you are welcome to take some treats home for your loved ones or yourself, for an extra contribution. If there is a particular treat you are craving, please let me know.

• Approximate schedule:
11 – 12:30 p.m. Open café: Enjoy yummy treats and café time. Café tables are set up for you to enjoy each other’s company or be by yourself, read, play games, etc. Savory and warm items will be available also.

12:45 p.m. – 2 p.m: Circle sharing (optional): Warriors of Love: How can we nourish ourselves and each other as heart-centered agents for peace in this world? Feel free to bring poems and songs that resonate with the theme.

Contributions for space rental and nourishing treats: $20 – 35. A $25 average contribution covers my cost, but no-one is turned away for lack of funds.

Babsi brought her original recipes from her home in Vienna, Austria 20 years ago. Having been complimented on her baking numerous times, she decided to start a bakery with a purpose: offering gluten-free, low-sugar or no-sugar Viennese treats and conversation spaces. Babsi is also a local college instructor, sustainability educator, and group facilitator engaging participants in dialogue from the heart, creative movement, storytelling, poetry, and creative visioning jams toward a vibrant world. She holds a Ph.D. in Transformative Learning and Change with a specialization in using ecological or “living” systems as an inspiration how we design communities, learning experiences, and our lives.

More than one revolution or new creative idea was generated at Viennese coffeehouses. What would you like to co-create? Let the sweet r/evolutionary sparks fly!
