We welcome you to a cozy mindful holiday café/brunch at East Bay Community Space. Enter at 5447 Telegraph Ave.
• Enjoy a cozy café setting with healthy gluten-free Viennese organic, low- or no-sugar treats! Raw and vegan options are also available. Please let us know if you have any allergies. We will have about 6 – 8 varieties available. If there is a particular holiday treat you are craving, please let me know, as I may not have as many options available as usual.
• Approximate schedule:
10 – 11:30 a.m. Open café: Enjoy yummy treats and café time. Café tables are set up for you to enjoy each other’s company or be by yourself, read, play games, etc. Savory and warm items will be available also.
11:45 a.m. – 1 p.m: Circle sharing: Centering into Stillness. Drawing Nourishment from Darkness and Community. Feel free to bring poems and songs that resonate with the theme of mindful holidays.
Contributions for space rental and nourishing treats: $20 – 35. A $25 average contribution covers my cost, but no-one is turned away for lack of funds.

Babsi brought her original recipes from her home in Vienna, Austria 20 years ago. Having been complimented on her baking numerous times, she decided to start a bakery with a purpose: offering gluten-free, low-sugar or no-sugar Viennese treats and conversation spaces. Babsi is also a local college instructor, sustainability educator, and group facilitator engaging participants in dialogue from the heart, creative movement, storytelling, poetry, and creative visioning jams toward a vibrant world. She holds a Ph.D. in Transformative Learning and Change with a specialization in using ecological or “living” systems as an inspiration how we design communities, learning experiences, and our lives.
