Witches are magical. Woke Witches use their magic to create a more just and sustainable world. At Phoenix Love Armenta’s School for Woke Witches, you will wake up to the heaven that is this world and start building that heaven for yourself and those you love.

This six week course will introduce you to ways of navigating your waking up process, magical tips and tricks to set up your practice, practical skills for building your heaven, and a social justice orientation to your magic.

Class 1
Woke Witch Training

An Introduction to magic and magical thinking. Participants will be taken through the process of being “woke.” Participants will engage in exercises designed to help them identify their individual path, work through their personal trauma, and transform their perceptions of themselves to become active co-creators who will start building the heaven they deserve. Collectively we will create a magical practice and develop a group spell to perform.

Participants will receive a Selenite wand and the opportunity to participate in the spell “Brooklyn Tribe Gets It’s Heaven on Earth.”

Class 2,
Political Witchery

Politics is a type of world building magic. This class will teach you how to see our political system from a magical perspective. Participants will learn about contracts, power dynamics, and how to push the levers of the political system to build the world that you want to see.

Each participant will receive a piece of Mahogany Obisidian and collectively create a vision board for the world they would like to create.

Class 3,
Earth Goddess Training

Learn how to identify and communicate with plants. Take a witches walking tour of our garden, learning the magical, medical, and practical uses for each plant. Participants will learn take a deep dive into an individual plant and create a workbook for plant identification. Finally, participants will learn how to use plant medicine to replace the chemicals in their home and create a more environmentally stable environment.

Participants will be given a piece of Moss Agate and the opportunity to participate in the spell “Captain Planet.”

Class 4
Apothecary Arts Training

Learn the craft of witchcraft through crafting multiple spells, potions, and lotions. Participants will learn how to make their own medicines, salves, tinctures, and homemade remedies. This will be done bootcamp style, with each participant moving through various stations learning how to make a variety of apothecary items that they can take home with them.

Participants will create multiple items to take home with them.

Class 5, February 7
Abundance Goddess Training

More than just a money magic class, rather this class looks at the concept of abundance and how to bring it into your life. Participants will learn how to identify and eliminate scarcity programming from your life and replace it with an abundant perspective. This class is not about how to make it rich. It is about discovering the secret to real wealth.

Participants will receive a Citrine stone and the opportunity to participate in the spell, “A Just Transition from Extractive Economies to Regenerative Cultures.

Class 6, February 14
Sex Goddess Training

Tap into your sexual energy for magical means. This class will move through a series of exercises designed to teach you how to move through sexual trauma, identify your blockages in your love life, manifest your life through orgasm and tap into your inner Goddess to manifest a world of love an passion.

Participants will receive an enchanted piece of rose quartz and collectively cast a “Sex Goddess” spell.

Graduates of the program will get the opportunity to join the Woke Witch Collective, a cooperatively run Woke Witch enterprise that helps magical entrepreneurs join their efforts for greater impact.

COST: $10-50 sliding scale per class
$50-$250 Discounted if you buy the whole 6 week series up front. This scale’s minimum was set to allow those with less privilege in society to be able to take these courses. We thank those who can afford to pay the top dollar for Phoenix’s offering.

ABOUT PHOENIX LOVE ARMENTA
Phoenix is the founder of Woke Witch, an earth based spirituality lifestyle brand that uses magical realism and practical wisdom to build a just and sustainable world. In addition to her magical practice, she has worked on environmental, racial, and social justice campaigns around the world, including anti-nuclear organizing in Japan and India, homeless advocacy in San Francisco, and multiple civic engagement and political campaigns throughout the Bay Area. Through her work on political campaigns, she has helped to get multiple progressive people of color into political office, including California State Assembly Member Tony Thurmond and Oakland City Council Member Abel Guillen. She is the co-founder of the New Leaders Council Oakland, a professional leadership development organization; The GET FREE Project, a civic engagement project that puts everyday people into the political process; and the Coordinator for the Resilient Communities Initiative, a coalition of Bay Area social justice organizations creating a plan for climate resiliency led by those most vulnerable to climate change. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Howard University and M.A. in Energy and Resources from UC Berkeley, with a specialty in Environmental Justice and Social Movement Theory.
