Somatic movement class for spinal flexibility and posture for seniors
Would you like to have more spine flexibility, better posture and balance? Come to the class, no pre-requisite necessary! The class is designed for participants 60 years and older.
We will learn together:
Strategies to improve body-awareness, and posture
Exercises to increase spinal flexibility and relaxation
How to decrease pain produced by bad posture and repetitive injuries
We will use a gentle somatic approach using elements of Body-Mind Centering®, and dance.
We will practice breathing and strength exercises for the upper body, using bands and balls. Some exercises will be practiced standing, others seated, and resting in a mat, according to your skills.
