The East Bay Community Space has different venues available to rent for public or private events on a one-time or on-going basis. The larger Main Space is ideal for performances, meetings, workshops, film screenings, and celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, and wedding receptions. The Telegraph Room works well for similar events in a slightly more intimate setting. The Meeting Room is an ideal space for meditation, yoga practice, bodywork/treatment sessions, and smaller group meetings.
Our Co-Working Space provides an affordable alternative for artists, activists, writers, entrepreneurs, and telecommuters looking for a comfortable and inclusive work space.
We also have unstructured periods when the space is open to everyone, under the guidance of a volunteer host. We call this Open Time. During these times, the Main Space is available for dance, personal yoga practice, or hanging out. Please contact us if you’d like to host Open Time, or if you’d like to volunteer.
We have created the Community Space in cooperation with others who share our vision of community. We hope you’ll join us!
MORE ABOUT OUR VENUE
The larger Main Space is ideal for performances, meetings, workshops, film screenings, and celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, and wedding receptions. It has a beautiful oak floor and is roughly 30′ x 40′. The Mezzanine (carpeted, roughly 30′ x 12′), is available as part of the Main Space rentals, and when the main floor is open for community use. It has a modular stage, sound system, stage lighting, projector, kitchenette, six all gender bathroom stalls, a shower, sauna, and a “green room”.
The capacity in this room is approximately 120 to 140 people standing room only, 72 people in rows of chairs (with a small or no stage set up), 56 people seated at tables (with a small or no stage set up).
Rent the Telegraph Room for your upcoming meeting, workshops, film screenings, live performances, and celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, and wedding receptions. It is a customizable space with a powered speaker, projector, extensive track lighting, kitchenette, and an all gender ADA-accessible bathroom stall.
There are several tables and chairs that allow for table seating up to 42 people. Tables can be stored allowing for seating in rows which can accommodate roughly 50 people. The room can accommodate up to 80 people for events requiring open space for standing and mingling.
The Telegraph Room is a Co-Working Space by day and an event space by night.

The Meeting Room (roughly 15′ x 20′) is available for hourly rentals throughout the day and evening. It’s an ideal space for classes, meetings or meditation groups. The capacity in this room is approximately 8 to 10 people.
