East Bay DSA Community Meeting

Midterm elections are approaching, and we have the opportunity to help a socialist mayor get elected!
The city of Richmond is a strategic focal point for our efforts. Under Claudia Jiménez’s leadership, Richmond City Council has courageously resisted the scourge of tech, the fossil fuel industry, massive Amazon operations, and the military and surveillance industrial complex within the bay. They successfully redirected funds from police coffers to mental health and homelessness services and youth programs, helping catalyze the lowest homicide rate and highest municipal revenue in the city’s history. Richmond was also the first city in the country to pass a resolution in solidarity with Palestine, calling for a ceasefire in 2023.
Claudia Jiménez is now running to become the next Mayor of Richmond. Come and join Socialism Beats Fascism’s upcoming Community Meeting to discuss how we can support her campaign and continue building an East Bay that works for the working class!
