I AM the Woman: An Audiovisual Ceremony Screening & Showcase

On February 26th fourteen, unique, women gathered to make an Audiovisual Ceremony honoring their personal stories and co-create a collective story of ‘Woman’.

Each woman holds many stories; the ones that society puts onto us and the ones we are writing ourselves. This ceremony invoked the shedding of some stories in order to reclaim the most unifying story of woman: strength, love, and UNITY.

This process was facilitated by ‘Woman’ an original song by Jasmine Fuego and documented by Mar al’Dao of the Republic of Light.

Join us on Thursday, March 8th, International Women’s Day to honor women and their stories, bear witness to this short film, and a showcase of performance art from some of the women featured in the audiovisual ceremony!

This is an intimate screening & showcase with only enough space for 40 people. So please claim your space now by marking ‘going’. This intimate screening will take place at the East Bay Community Space Telegraph Room (enter on telegraph ave NOT 55th st).
