It’s clear by now to most that we as DSAers strongly support unions and the labor movement and as socialists, we recognize that a strong labor movement will have to be at the heart of a democratic socialist transformation of society. Besides continuing to support labor actions, contract campaigns, pickets, and strikes as they come about, DSAers can also support the labor movement by becoming part of it and joining the dedicated unionists on the ground floor who are organizing to make their unions as strong as possible to be able to fight for the workers in their union, industry, and society at-large. This event will start with a brief panel of workers talking about their experience organizing at their workplaces and in their unions followed by ample time for attendees to talk with workers in industries that range from education to logistics, healthcare to transportation, and trades to public sector about their jobs and how to go about getting one.
